C Constantly being hypocritcal
response: yes we are hypocritical, but no one is perfect.  and yes, no one can take that and use it as an excuse to cover up any wrong that we, as chirstians, do.  we are all human and we all suck.  sadly some “christians” do pretend to be perfect and it comes off wrong about who our God is.  hopefully one day you, and others, can find someone who loves God so much that their life can reflect who God truly is cause I will admit, we don’t do the greatest job doing so.  By the way, we don’t mean to be hypocritical so I apologize.  On another note, it feels like everyone assumes that Christians are supposed to perfect when we’re the least from it; that’s why we need God.

H Hands out for money
response: okay, I really don’t understand where you get this from.

Reading an outdated book that was written by chauvanist men and using it to jusitfy taking away people’s rights
response: have you read the Bible? if not, please don’t say anything about the men who wrote it.  I will admit, a lot of people take verses out of context and use it to justify things that they shouldn’t try to justify in the first place.  we do not have the right to judge anything or anyone.  on my part, i apologize for people feeling judges because of “christians” and because of our words and actions that are incorrect.  But please, next time you chose to speak of the Bible that way, get some perspective of what you’re speaking of.

Intimate relationships with priests
response: what is so wrong with have an intimate relationship with a “pastor.” if you are referring to intimate in a sexual way, that is just wrong. But if you are referring to intimate as in being vulnerable, that is completely normal.  I don’t see what is wrong with that. Being vulnerable to another human being means that we need one another.  Christians also struggle with things that everyone else struggles with.  Our problems in life aren’t any easier than anyone else’s.  We just chose to handle or see it in a different way.   we are open an “intimate” to our superiors so that they can guide us towards the right direction.

S Stay committed to their imaginary friend
response: good thing you noticed that God is our friend. Points on that. We can’t see God, so what? In fact, the thing that you say that we’re committed to our “imaginary   friend” is good.  Because even though we can’t physically see or physically hear our God, we still choose to follow and believe in Him because we’re experienced His love.  Maybe you haven’t met someone who does reflect God’s love, but I pray that you do because it will change how you view God.

T Trusting that there’s some big, hairy old dude playing a big game of Sims up there who can rationalize a six year old girl getting brain cancer and dying
response: life is not a game, so I don’t understand why you compare a person’s life to a game of SIMS. no, life is not fair, but who are we to judge what is fair and what is not?  if you want fair, then we would all go to hell; end of story.  God does give us mercy and grace and we’ll never understand why some people die and some people live.  But that is not up to us.  At times, I wish it was, but imagine how life would be like if everything was up to us.

I am perfectly made as long as I’m straight
response: I already spoke a little about this.  we are not perfect. we will never be perfect.  We are all human and we make horrible mistakes.  So I cannot say this enough, we aren’t perfect.  We are the least from perfect so please stop thinking we are.

A passion to protect and support only the ‘ideal Christian’
response: Yes, we do want to protect and support what it means to be a Christian.  If the “ideal christian” is a person going to church, reading their Bible, and then living life like any other person then no we do not support that.  We support and encourage a person’s life being changed because of the love of Jesus Christ.  We attempt to protect what it means to be a Christian because people have taken the meaning of being a Christian and changed it something completely different, which is why you wrote your response in the first place.  Not just that but also because some “christians” haven’t done the greatest job in reflecting what it means to be a Christian.  A Christian is someone who follows Christ, someone who wants to be like Christ.  If you read the Bible about who Christ is, you’ll see someone who is perfect without judging anyone or making them feel lower than dirt.

N Never moving forward
response:  Again, I don’t get where you’re coming from with this.

S So in love with someone of the opposite sex. Cause that’s the only kind of love there is right?
response: my brother who originally wrote this post that as Christians we do not only love people of opposite sex.  we are so in love with our brothers and sisters that we would be willing to go out of our way for them because we love them.  so no, we do not think that the only love that exist is the one for the opposite sex.  For example, the fact that @swimmertkesh has used his blog to encourage people and to ask for prayer requests and actually prays for his followers shows a lot about love and obviously that love is not for someone of just the opposite sex.

I really do hope that you did take the time to read through this because you deserve to know that there’s more to Christianity than what others assume.  Christianity is not about being perfect.  It is not about judging others.  It is about sharing the love of Christ to the people around us through our words and actions.  I know that we have not lived up that standard and that vision.  I know that Christians and used Christianity as an excuse for anything.  I truly apologize for that.  So please forgive us because we know we’re not perfect.   I pray that one day you can SEE and EXPERIENCE the love of Jesus Christ.

side note: top portion is what my brother Ryan Tokeshi wrote.  another person reblogged it and wrote her own interpretation of a Christian and so I wrote my response to hers.
