Dear Best Friend,

God has blessed me with you in my life.  He’s given me the opportunity to watch you grow these past many years.  Although I know that I couldn’t be there every time you wanted me to be, or in this case, I wanted to be, God has been faithful in keeping you safe.  There were many times where I was scared about how our friendship would turn out after I left, but God has been keeping us strong.  Through you, He’s taught me so much about trusting in Him, with my life and with yours. I’ve seen Him using you and growing in you.  Praise Him for that.  I want to thank you for all the moments we’ve shared together.  I want to thank you for being there for me and being such a great supporter in everything I had my heart set on.  You never once complained when I asked for favors or did something stupid.  You always put up with how much of an embarrassment I am to you.  Yeah sure, you pretend to not love me but I know that DEEP DEEP down you do, and it shows.  Today, it hit me how much you’re growing up and that I can’t stop you from doing that.  You’re going to go to college soon and we’ll both be even busier than we are now. It’ll be even more difficult to be there for you when you need me.  I might even see you less than I do now and because you’ll be even farther, so that means less hang-outs, which might be a good thing for you.  But even through all this, I know that OUR God will be taking amazing care of you, better than I ever can.  I just want you to know that even if we don’t talk for a while and lose sight of each other, you still got that soft spot in my heart that no one can replace.  Don’t you worry about your future kidd cause God has your back.  I love you kidd. :)
